Landscaping: According to Vastu

AddThis Social Bookmark Button The north-west portion of the house is ideal for landscaping. This portion of the land can be raised if desired, for design purposes. Soft soil is most suitable for plants and trees. Gardens brings delight and happiness to the residents and the visitors. Trees and plants are living things and their presence in the plot influences the happenings there as much as other living beings. However, the following points must be taken to consideration while designs the lawn or landscape: No plants with red flowers should be planted.Planting trees opposite the main door of the house adversely effects the health of children in the house.No milky trees should be planted in the house, as it may lead to loss of wealth.Palm trees should be avoided in the plot.No thorny plants should be planted as it may lead to health problem related to mind, like headache etc.A rock garden must only be designed for south west portion of the house and never should be in the north east.Herbal plants like Tulsi, Thumbi can be grown in the north east portion of the house.Flowering plants should be planted in the south-west portion of the house.Heavy pots should never be placed in the northeast portion of the plot or terrace, or on the compound walls.Tall trees can be grown in the southwest of the house with fruit bearing trees in between them.Fountains should be in the north or east portion of the house, and must never be placed/installed in front of the main door to the house.
